In 2012, the City entered an MOU with the City of Calabasas and the Las Virgenes Unified School District to provide the City of Hidden Hill’s share of property taxes for library services to enhance library programing at the Calabasas Library and provide library related assistance to the School District.
In February 2023 the City Council discussed the MOU and directed staff to let the MOU expire in June 2023 and research new library services that could be provided directly to Hidden Hills residents using the City’s share of restricted library property taxes. The City subsequently entered into an agreement with ReThinking Libraries to assist with the development of a new library strategy for the City of Hidden Hills.
