Hidden Hills 2021-2029 Housing Element

April 25, 2022

Since 1969, California has required that all local governments (cities and counties) adequately plan to meet the housing needs of everyone in the community by preparing a Housing Element as part of their General Plan. The Housing Element establishes City policies and programs for maintaining and improving existing housing, as well as ensures that City regulations comply with State laws regarding housing for persons with disabilities or other special needs, and that City land use plans and development regulations provide sufficient opportunities for additional housing to accommodate all economic segments of the community. The City’s current Housing Element was last updated in 2014 and the law requires that it be updated every 8 years. The 6th Cycle Housing Element Update covers a planning period from 2021 to 2029.
