We want to provide you with an update regarding a burglary that occurred last night, August 22nd, in Hidden Hills.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., a house sitter reported hearing a window break and possibly hearing a male and female on the property. Patrol and LASD deputies responded quickly and conducted a thorough search of the area; however, no suspects were located. At this time, it is unknown if any property was taken.

Covered 6 also deployed their drone to assist with the search, providing an aerial perspective to help deputies secure the area. An LASD unit remained in Hidden Hills for several hours following the initial response.

Burglary Safety Tips

We encourage all residents to remain vigilant and consider the following safety practices:

1. 1. Keep doors and windows locked at all times, even when you are home.
   2. Set your home alarm system when leaving, even for short periods.
   3. Use outdoor lighting and motion-sensor lights to deter suspicious activity.
   4. Do not leave valuables visible through windows.
   5. Report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity immediately to LASD Lost Hills Station.
   6. If traveling, let a trusted neighbor know and consider notifying the City or HOA security.
   7. Take advantage of security patrols and consider installing cameras if you have not already done so.
