Citing both public safety and aesthetic reason, the undergrounding of overhead utilities within the City has been a long standing goal of the City Council. The City Council has undertaken a capital improvement project to beautify the northeast and northwest corners of the Round Meadow Road/Mureau Road intersection. A landscape design has been approved and renovations are anticipated to begin in Summer 2021.
The Long Valley project will include construction of a new right turn pocket from the Long Valley on-ramp into the City of Hidden Hills. In addition, a pedestrian sidewalk from the Long Valley Gate to Valley Circle Boulevard will be constructed. Read More
This joint project between the City and the Las Virgenes Unified School District was completed in 2019 in an effort to alleviate delays on Round Meadow Road at peak traffic times during school hours. The new drop off/pick up lane was created across the sports field, away from the Round Meadow gate. This additional lane has successfully reduced congestion build-up in the area.
