On Monday, October 7, the City of Hidden Hills, in partnership with the Hidden Hills Community Association, hosted a Public Safety Town Hall titled Understanding Roles and Responsibilities. The event brought residents together with key public safety partners, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Covered 6.
Speakers included members of the City Council; representatives from the Hidden Hills Community Association; Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Captain Dustin Carr; and Covered 6 CEO Chris Dunn. Each outlined their agency’s role in protecting Hidden Hills and explained how coordination among the partners helps strengthen community safety.
One important topic of discussion was the responsibility of personal home security and how residents can better secure and protect their own homes. Speakers clarified the distinction between individual security measures and the role of Covered 6 in serving the community. In addition, there was a detailed discussion of Covered 6’s drone deployment practices, including when and why drones are used, which drew strong interest from attendees.
Residents had the opportunity to ask questions and learn how local law enforcement and security teams collaborate to serve the community.
