With summer underway, the City of Hidden Hills is urging all drivers to remain alert and follow posted traffic regulations. As a residential community with narrow roads, horseback riders, and limited visibility in some areas, even minor infractions can pose serious risks to others.
City Hall has seen a recent rise in traffic citations across Hidden Hills, especially for drivers failing to come to a complete stop at posted stop signs. Rolling through intersections not only puts others at risk but will also lead to costly fines.
Additionally, several residents have reported incidents of motorists illegally passing stopped school buses which is a serious violation. In L.A. County, drivers who pass a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop sign face severe fines, points on their driving record, and in some cases, criminal prosecution. But the greatest danger is to the lives of children crossing in front of the bus.
Please help keep our community safe by obeying all traffic laws, stopping completely at intersections, and exercising extreme caution around school buses. Let’s protect our children, neighbors, and roads by driving responsibly.
