The California State Fire Marshal has released a draft update to the Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) maps, identifying areas throughout California based on fire hazard risk.

The City of Hidden Hills contains areas designated as Moderate, High, and Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zones. These maps are currently under public review prior to final adoption. Residents are encouraged to review the proposed map (shown above) and provide feedback to the city.

The public review period begins April 26, 2025 and all comments must be submitted by May 26, 2025.
