Our hearts go out to our neighbors in Malibu as they face the ongoing challenges of the Franklin Fire, which continues to burn with intensity. These moments remind us of the importance of preparedness and community resilience in times of crisis.
We’re proud to share that Hidden Hills is one of only seven communities in Los Angeles County selected by Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone to participate and be protected by the Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Foundation’s Community Brigade. This elite program empowers local residents with critical training in wildfire behavior, effective communication, home hardening, and emergency operations to assist first responders during emergencies. The Community Brigade members act as vital resources, bridging the gap between professional responders and the unique needs of our community.
If you’ve been watching the news over the past few days, you may have seen the Community Brigade in action, supporting fire crews as they battle the Franklin Fire. These brave and dedicated volunteers—our neighbors—are making a tangible difference, providing essential insights and assistance that enhance the response effort.
The Community Brigade doesn’t just prepare individuals—it strengthens our entire community’s resilience against wildfires. But Hidden Hills’ needs YOUR help, YOU need to join the program!
