After a major disaster, first responders may be inundated with emergency requests and demands and unable to immediately respond to all those in need. In such a crisis, it will be neighbors assisting neighbors for immediate first aid and life-sustaining needs until emergency response personnel can arrive. The County of Los Angeles Fire Department is hosting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) hybrid training to provide the public with basic training in safety and life-saving skills. Interested residents and current Hidden Hills CERT team members are encouraged to sign up.
Independent online courses are required to be completed prior to taking the in-person hands-on training session over two days beginning Saturday, August 10, 2024, being held at the Calabasas Community Center.
