The Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains is working with the Conservation Biology Institute to better understand how residents of Southern California prepare their home and landscape to reduce the risk of wildfire to their property.
About the survey:
- This anonymous survey takes about 15 minutes to complete.
- It focuses on people’s understanding, motivations, and barriers to taking steps to protect their home against wildfire ignitions and to maintain defensible space.
- The results will be combined with other date and analyzed to understand the factors that make it more or less likely that these actions will be taken.
- The survey will guide future community support to improve wildfire safety.
Residents are encouraged to take the survey here.
